Faith is a Journey

Faith Is a Journey is a Christian podcast for people who believe the Bible but struggle to live it when life gets messy.

We’re a husband and wife. Not pastors. Not polished teachers. Just two believers opening Scripture each week and asking what it actually demands of us.

We talk about stress, doubt, discipline, fear, unanswered prayers, and the gap between what we say we believe and how we actually live.

This isn’t church talk or motivational fluff. It’s honest conversation about following Jesus when obedience costs something and clarity is hard to find.

Each episode wrestles with one passage or idea and asks the question most people avoid:

What does this require of us right now?

Disclaimer: The conversations shared on Faith Is a Journey reflect our personal experiences and understanding of Scripture. They are not intended as formal theological teaching or professional counseling.

Forgiveness isn’t weakness — it’s freedom. In this episode of Faith is a Journey, we dive into one of the hardest commands Jesus gives us: forgiving others when they don’t deserve it.
We talk about:
Why forgiveness doesn’t mean letting people “off the hook”
The difference between forgiveness and reconciliation
How bitterness destroys you and those around you
Don't seek revenge (Romans 12:19)
Practical steps to forgive,  even when it hurts
Through Scripture, real-life stories, and honest conversation, we unpack how forgiveness frees your heart, keeps you close to God, and protects you from the root of bitterness (Hebrews 12:15).
If you’re holding on to anger, this episode will challenge you to let go and trust God with the outcome.

Greed isn’t just about money, it’s about fear, comparison, and the chase that never ends. In this episode of Faith is a Journey, we share real stories from family inheritance battles, business betrayals, and that nagging voice that whispers, “you don’t have enough.” We unpack what Scripture actually says about greed, how it destroys peace and relationships, and why it’s so easy to fall into without realizing it. Most importantly, we talk about how to break free, find contentment, and anchor your worth where it belongs.
By the end, you’ll be challenged to ask yourself one simple but tough question: Where does my treasure really lie?

Doubt is part of every believer’s journey, but what do you do with it? In this episode of Faith is a Journey, we get real about the struggles that keep us up at night: anxiety about the future, wondering if God will provide, questioning whether we’re “good enough,” and even facing the unknowns of raising kids in an uncertain world.
We talk honestly about how doubt shows up in business, family, and faith, and why it doesn’t mean your faith is dead, it means it’s being tested. From Jonah’s storm to Thomas’ questions to Jesus’ prayer in Gethsemane, we unpack what Scripture says about doubt and how to hand it over to God instead of carrying it alone.

Everyone’s seen those quotes on social media or coffee mugs that sound biblical—but are they? In this episode of Faith Is a Journey, we break down five popular Christian-sounding phrases and hold them up against the NASB Bible.
From “God never gives you more than you can handle” to “Let go and let God,” we’ll dig into where these sayings come from, what the Bible actually says, and why getting it right matters.
No fluff. No filter. Just an honest conversation about how easy it is to fall for feel-good quotes—and how freeing it is to go back to the source.

In this episode of Faith is a Journey, we get real about modern-day idols, not golden calves, but the everyday things we chase: comfort, control, image, success. As a husband-and-wife team, we share the raw, unfiltered ways these things creep into our lives, from obsessing over Pinterest-perfect homes to finding identity in hustle and achievement.
We also unpack how these distractions become idols and what Scripture says about letting them go. If you've ever felt like your stuff owns you, your schedule runs you, or your identity is tied to how you look or what you do... this one's for you.
Time to take inventory, refocus, and invite God back into the center of it all.

Sometimes God speaks through unexpected things, like a TV show. In this episode of Faith Is a Journey, we share how watching The House of David sparked a deeper dive into the Book of 1 Samuel.
What started as casual entertainment turned into late-night Bible reading, Scripture cross-checking, and fresh insight into the lives of Samuel, Saul, and David. We unpack what we learned, what surprised us, and how obedience, listening, and childlike faith stood out in powerful ways.
This isn’t about reviewing a show,  it’s about how God can use anything to pull us back to His Word. If you’ve ever wanted to connect more with the Old Testament but didn’t know where to start, this one’s for you.

We have no idea, so we try to wrap our minds around it through a biblical lens. The views shared in this episode are personal and biblical perspectives only.
